- Researched and edited report of a ten country study for the International Finance Corporation assessing financial initiatives in Pacific Island states. The report recommended a regional equity fund and a pilot national fund was launched in Samoa as result.
- Extensive strategic development experience including leading the development of Wessex Reinvestment Trust’s strategy and business plans and Business Link Devon and Cornwall’s social enterprise business support strategy.
- Experienced facilitator, able to help trustees, board members and senior managers to develop strategies, identify opportunities and resolve conflicts, offering technical knowledge where appropriate.
- Particular interest in promoting sustainable solutions to assist people facing disadvantage – experience of doing so in conflict zones, developing countries and the UK.
- Specialisation in legal structures for enterprises with charitable aims, including the benefits of combining charitable and non-charitable companies.
- Specialisation in social enterprise support with a good understanding of the need to balance financial and social drivers.
- International community/SME development experience in many developing countries. Academic and practical skills in gender and cultural analysis.
